Thanks for the kind words guys. Good to be making some progress on this one again. Found a shop right around the corner that has a brake big enough to bend up my seat boxes. I have to tighten up some rivets and replace a few others before the boxes get installed, but it'll be good to have them ready (...Finally!).

Don, that's an older style isn't it? ...maybe with the stamped steel case? My 10-50 ones are modeled on the newer type like you have in D-Rat so the graphics are a bit different. It certainly looks like it'd work if you drill out those rivets and tap the holes though. Is the face 3" in diameter? I think that type is a bit smaller, but I can trim it as long as it's not a lot. If you want an exact reproduction, if you send me the face, I can probably laser right on it.

Do you think there is any hope for this?

This was fun. I was stuck on how exactly to print these, but my friend at work that does the lighted signs, recently got a CO2 laser. I found an old South Bend lathe for the shop, that made cutting the disks and lens a cinch. Some paint, and the laser did the rest. The new lens is .030 acrylic, heat formed over a plug cast from an original one. Pretty happy with how they came out.

Disassembled, with a prototype face...

A copy of the original...

First batch...

Since I couldn't source the pin that the needle rests on a small hole is drilled for it, the mounting hole locations are transferred and drilled, and the new face mounts right over the old one.

Finally time, inspiration, and parts converged and I got a bit done. I'd been holding off on fixing the front dash and that AM/FM radio hole just in case the perfect steering wheel/helm would appear. As it turns out, I already had it. First, the before. The boat really is up on it's side. Lots easier this way The 'boatisserie' was worth every minute it took to build:

Templates made...

It fits!

Just enough clecos...

Done. Does the helm look familiar? It came from D-Rat. Thanks again Don. I finished this a couple days before that Quicksilver one got listed, but it's all good. I'm really loving the 'old school' look.

Some bling... This is a new panel. Turns out that you can't see the labels very well when they're under the switches. Took the opportunity to embellish it some too.

This was one of those little detours that I'm prone to. That's a reproduction aluminum gauge face and lens. A couple of you wrote me about them from that thread last year. I made a bunch. Hard to tell in this pic, but this is a green one.
