Thanks Boatboy
Ok, I'll put that in the winter project category. Given that I'm in the NorthEast, that means in May next year., once I can feel my hands again in the garage :P

Ok, I have not yet worked on the magneto so forgive me if I don't fully understand.
One started, the motor does not need any battery, relying on the magneto to generate enough voltage to spark the plug. So you somehow need to cut off the power in the magneto section. Is that the general idea?

Same here. I spliced off the ignition switch on my vagabond to a kill switch under the dash where my light switch is. On the hawk ii did the same but hid the kill under the dash hidden to work as an anti theft too.

On my boat, I ran the wires from the ignition switch to a kill switch I mounted towards the rear of the mount for the controls. I hook the tether from the kill switch to my life jacket.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I now consider it to be a super power.

Hi all
I read a few thread about having a kill switch.
I only know the system on a simple dinghy outboard where a springly line tied to your wrist will stop the fuel when pulled out.
How do you set up a kill switch when you are sitting away from the motor.?
