Aristocraft Boats lists neat windshield brackets in their parts catalog. They still make the old parts for their new builds.

I had an original set that came with the DR I sold to Jabe, who sent them to Brucester, who cast a few sets. Don't know if he has any more.

Sorry I forgot to reply to your question, I bought the brackets off EBay, the plexiglass is just cut to the length that puts that curve in it. It’s held in place by Taylor hold downs in the center through the deck and screws through the plexiglass in the end brackets. Bruce did cast a batch of some brackets that were very similar based off a set that another member has.
I don’t know if they are still available. A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

I forgot where Ray said he got the windshield brackets, but I made copies of his for my boat:

I like that windshield. Care to share on the fabrication of it?
Thanks Mark |

Mine had a ghost of the original, I'm assuming they were the thin foil type.
Ricks etched and painted ones look great to me. A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

The only original condition one that I've seen up close and personal looked to have the remains of these foil stickers. The less faded area in the pic below is the right size. Can't say what color but, since it's '56, I'd expect them to have been the red ones.

The mid 50's foil stickers are 8" x 2". Earlier ones are sort of white; later ones red. My '54 Vagabond had the white ones.
I looked into the possibility of having real foil reproductions made a few years ago but the cost was prohibitive. I've made a few etched ones but, another option might be a decal applied to an aluminum tape base. The ones I've seen are the down turned feather with the overlapping 'Atlanta, Georgia' script. Never make the mistake of thinking that you know everything about anything.
