I bought my (then) wife a 1984 V65SP Guzzi back around 1990. 650cc.
At the time I also had a 1982 R65LS BMW. also 650cc.
The Guzzi had Dellorto carbs; the Beemer had Bings.
That guzzi could tow the beemer faster than it could go itself. Also every bit as bulletproof.

I am about 10K mi from hitting 300,000 documented BMW mi.
This does not reflect all the Harley miles (five Sportsters, one Pan head) or the miles accrued on various British bikes or 20+yrs on a Ducati.

I also spent 30yrs racing off-road (Enduro & Hare Scrambles) which were typically 100mi-
Most every Sunday March thru Oct I was on a starting line somewhere.

The only Jap bike I ever had was a 1978 XS 650 Yamaha; my brother & I each bought them new. I rode it to Mexico in 1979- it snapped the chain on the return leg crossing the Mississippi river bridge. Thank God the wheel didn't lock but when it launched it almost hit my buddy- he was on a brand new SP 1000 Guzzi

All great bikes, all hard to find anymore!

We have a bunch of silly little bikes

2005 Guzzi Nevada 750 (I wasn't sure I would like the small block but its grown on me)
1981 Honda hawk Cb400t (Rosemary's bike)
1983 Hondamatic Cm450 (got it for a song when I was 15, never letting this oddball go)
1963 Honda c110 (same engine as a Cub but it looks like a proper little motorcycle)

I've had a few bmw's. One I put an impressive/excessive? amount of mileage on, and no it wasn't an R or a K.... It was one of those Italian/Austrian bastard child F series!

now back to that boat...

Thank you for overcoming my ineptitude vintin
Wish I could do that.

Yesterday, I had a serious expression of interest on the upside down boat- a 1950 Firefly.

BTW that wooden deck that serves as a staging area is scheduled for demolition; to make way for a flagstone patio with a stone wall.

Hopefully, more and better boats will dock there as well

Figures. They're sideways

merc geo's particle of wisdom for 7/8/2016:

"Two steps forward and one step back is still progress"

A sideways pic is better than no pic but still annoying as Hell
