Not a good bet. Even with a passionate following for Feather Craft boats, most of us put more time and/or money into our boats than we could sell them for.

There are a few rare models that you could flip with confidence, but that Cruise master prob isn't one of them. Cool boat, though. I'd love to go for a ride in one....

The woodies are a different story, but kinda snobby. Try $600 for a steering wheel with a built in throttle lever!

Hi, first post, glad to find other aficionados of floating vintage aluminum!

I'm looking at a couple project boats, bare hulls, etc. 1955 more or less, Lone Star Cruisemaster 21's.

My question is how much can they bring when they have fresh paint, a decent interior done in a close to original style, and a modern engine on a bracket off the back- say a 140HP V6 in the early 2000's.

I'd be doing it up for the love of it, but I don't want to get buried in it so bad that it will be a huge loss. I know its the nature of the game, but just hoping it won't be an embarrassment if I have to tell my wife I lost X amount on it after taking time away from my family to get it done and able to use...

I already have a 1954 DR that I'm picking up soon and will do a number on that one.

Thanks in advance for any advice on what they're worth!
