I've found serial numbers on the starboard side as far up as the rope cleat. As stated, should start with 752-xxxx. Nice job, I haven't done anything with my 15ft jetstreak. Been working on my 69 VW.

Thanks, I have one lead that may pan out, otherwise I will take you up on that. I appreciate it.

Given how few there are, and how old they are, I'm pretty sure that you could make one up in the format that was used and it'd pass.
Your 15' model would have been 752-(4 or 5 digits). I can provide an original looking tag to match. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. -Aesop

Thanks all, I will take another look this weekend. My friend Jim Z. did the restoration on it and I am grinning ear to ear. If I cant pick up on the production serial number, I'm wondering if there any dead numbers out there that can be used, like old car titles. My worry is trying to get it registered that the DNR will derate it without a valid serial number. I will ask them about using the advertising for the boat to rate it, but I think they will want numbers for it as well.

Hey Randy, that is a great looking boat. The numbers are engraved really deep. I'm surprised that there's no trace of them. Mine:
I don't think the dash 'Bird' emblem was used on all of them. My boat is a Virginia built one and had no trace of it. Someone else asked me about reproductions a while back and I think I've finally figured out how to do a pretty good replica of them. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. -Aesop
