Interesting. I'd think spark current would melt away such a small sliver.

A simple volt meter resistance check without even pulling the plug would find something like that but I've never heard of anyone checking resistance.

Wonder what the resistance range of fouled plugs would be?

I also had a carb issue....basically the carb had severe corrosion problems and float saturation problems. Last night I pulled the old grubby carb off of the military motor..Tore it down and on the inside it is mint....Thank you Bonz !! On the left are my carb parts, on the right the battle of the Bulge carb.. Nice..
