I guess that's why the one cylinder was a lot warmer than the other :P

Your decision to pick up the parts motor is paying off in spades!

I also had a carb issue....basically the carb had severe corrosion problems and float saturation problems. Last night I pulled the old grubby carb off of the military motor..Tore it down and on the inside it is mint....Thank you Bonz !! On the left are my carb parts, on the right the battle of the Bulge carb.. Nice..

Bill,,could you Email me the last photo full size ? Well,,that motor was running on only the right bank. When I pulled the plugs ,,the left bank showed signs of not firing. It ran fine as you see in the video,,then something went awry. this morning my buddy Russ Hill stopped by. He saw the garage door open. What's up ? Plug not firing.. I hooked it up, gave it a yank,,,Russ says no spark. I handed him another plug....Great spark !! WTH ??? I held the plug up to the window and there it was ,,a FINE line of something. Reggie had told me he had hand filed the electrodes,,,and there was the problem. While filing he had magnetized the shavings.. Eventually one bridged the gap....

A lot to be said for perseverance. Long way from that blue and yellow painted thing.
Looks great. Congrats.
