I wonder what it attached to on the other side. Are you going that route or going to the back mount? I'm struggling with the same thing on the Flyer. I made mounts to the rear coming around like they do on the Hydro's but getting it to work out right across the rear of the tumblehome is proving tricky.

I posted this on AOMCI and one good fellow responded,,,here's how do do it,,with no explanation,,just a few photos . After staring at the photo, it look like they bent a bracket and mounted it where the tiller handle used to be...

I'd like 4 of those. Can pick up at RP if you're going to be there or shipping is fine, too. Paypal?

Thanks Guys,,I think I have it. I found a small captured cable guide I can install on the inside of the throttle bracket. It will keep it from chaffing and give me enough clearance on the Gunwale..I thought of crossing the cables,,,but that where the spare gas can goes...

What if you crossed the lines?

You would still need another pully behind the rear seat, but from there, the left line would cross over to the right side of the front of the motor and the right line would cross over to the left side of the front of the motor. then you could run the line back towards the pulley for the spring.

You would lose a little of the access to the rear bay area, but could it work? Not sure how much of a turning radius it would give you though.

maybe if you put another pulley right behind the rear seat back.... just like you were thinking but not so far toward the stern like you showed in the video... looks like you would have a straight shot to the bracket on the motor.

I think there are two competing issues. One is the routing of the cables, the other is the function of the steering. When the cable lines up with the mounting point and the center of the crankshaft, the motor won't turn any further. If you move the bracket forward, I think you will loose some steering travel.

How about if the cable goes behind the seat so it's closer to the centerline of the boat? Maybe it will clear the tumblehome then?
