I vaguely remember a time when I could get up from the floor without grunting and holding on to furniture. I wouldn't even attempt getting in there.

The last time I crawled up under the deck of my Vagabond was several years ago. It was harder getting out than getting under that deck.

I think I'll be able to get in there. There's no bulkhead so it's wide open.
Nat's pretty good handling the rivet gun. Now getting back out might be a chore! "Honey, grab my feet and pull" LoL

Your going to need a adolescent to crawl up in there to buck those rivets.

A lot of the Feather Crafts I have worked on had 0.050" sheeting on the front deck.

This is all the 0.063 sheeting I have left.
I guess it would be easier to just do that much.

Hey Terry,
I think it would be easier to replace the whole front deck. How thick is the sheeting? “The days I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, I have really good days”

Ray, only a centerline C channel.
AD, there’s no hope to patch it. A lot of fiberglass up there. |

Have you thought about aluminum brazing in all the pits and the crack? Much less heat than welding (700*-750*) so zero warping and nearly as strong. MAP gas torch and your all set. Hobart makes good rods #770206. You could then grind it smooth and nobody would be the wiser. Lots of spots on my DR were done this way. The color is a bit off as the Al brazing rods are a different elemental make up to make them melt lower than the base metal so polishing would be a no go but with a brush finish nearly nobody could tell if you didn't point it out. Give it a try and if it does not work for you you can still cut it all out.

I like the sort of V shape, you can make it a little big and trim to fit.
Is there any support structure under the deck holding it in shape? “The days I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, I have really good days”
