Cleaned out the shop to bring the boat in to work in it. Good thing....snowstorm is coming again in Louisiana.....

The transom is complete except the cutting board transducer block. Transom saver installed. I bought the 18" metal break at Harbor Freight to make the piece to protect that pretty wood.

Question..... does the motor look low with botton of the boat?

Finally got the trailer back together and the new transom installed. Need more hardware but it will hold the motor for now.

The good thing about small projects......

I can put a coat of spar on while the dogs are doing their business.

Hocus pocus. The boat can float in the driveway.

One of the paddles that came with the boat. It has dried out in the shop for a couple weeks. I sanded and started with the spar. I can't imagine throwing something away like that.

Been busy but two things to mention. My Father got me a cover for the boat. And I have been toying around with the anchor thingamabob on the bow. Don't like it and probably will scrap it and start over.

While pool noodles certainly are convenient, they give up a lot of volume to the hole in the middle and the space between them. The blue foam is a better choice flotation-wise.

I get you on the floors. My plans have gone from simple to silly complicated a few times now.

Looking good.
What are you using for flotation in the seats?

The back and middle seat floatation was still good so it will go back in. the front bench was about 50% rats nest so it is gone to the trash. I am going to make that into storage. I picked up a sheet of blue foam for under the floor. Wrong time of year for pool noodles.

I am keeping my plans for the floor in my head for now. it changed three times on the way home from work. Should look at least as good as the transom.
