The rough cut is the easy part.
The first of many trims with the snips. These two inside supports are straight, the two outer supports are curved, doing that is the next step before more trimming or any drilling. Proud Owner of 1956 Vagabond, 1950 Flyer, 1956 Rocket, Co-owner 1952 Flash, 10-1/2 less than VinTin

You weren't kidding about it being a "lightweight version."

It’s easy enough to curve the cardboard and then when you lay it out flat you have an accurate pattern for the Aluminum sheet, the tricky part is to get the Aluminum to lay down like the cardboard did.

I learned a long time age that cardboard was a lot cheaper than metal and that “measure twice and cut once” didn’t cover every situation

I know you know, just wanted to say, the patterns are compensating for the arc of decks when laying flat on your stock sheet , awesome Ray, I am missing the rebuilds, soon one day I will get back to restoring again
