Same here. On my DR I used plastic shims from home depot to fill the gap.

I have encountered at least 4 different versions but, when you're trying to install they do seem like the old "one size fits all" which usually means one size poorly fits all and really fits nothing. My experience is no two Feather Crafts are the same, hand built items can be that way.

I agree that the bracket is 'one size fits all'.
I had to 'shim' the bracket on my 56 Ranger to match the angle of the transom. I used a JB Weld product to build the bracket up to match the angle of the transom. Before and after

Yes, the angle is different. I'm guessing that they used the same brackets, and made them fit as I've been shown 2 that fit the same way as mine. Ok, crisis averted. Back to carving on my transom board so they fit now.

I think the angle is quite different between the Vagabond and the Ranger, the wider transom on the Ranger results in a lesser angle on the Ranger at the corner.

This was before the Refresh. When I get back home I will send current photos. The fit is the same.

Can any other Ranger owners share some pics of their rear corner braces?
