I'm glad to hear the boat and motor are looking good, running good and you are a happy boatman. Don't worry about oil coming out of that drain hole in the lower unit. That is normal and a good sign that the hole is open and working like it should. That oil is from unburned oil and water draining out of the exhaust housing. I hope to meet you at one of our get together's sometime in the near future.
Glad to see it finally on the water. Hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
Don't fret the goo coming out of the motor, that's the way it works.
Put a piece of cardboard under the lower unit and you can see if it's leaking. A couple drops a day is no big deal. You can reseal it this winter.
thanks rick..........i just want to add, not because i am celebrating with the ole milwaukie.........every thing that this ship represents is only because of this site.....i never owned a boat before, ........i never worked with aluminum before......i never riveted before....only through this site got me to where it is now..........and so much thanks goes out to all the posts and searching i got that old fishin boat closer to home..........so anyone new here, as am i........this is the place to be to learn what you need..........virgin or not
Congrats on the test run. Sorry I couldn't make it today but it looks like you had a good time. The boat looks great in the water. I will need to get out there with you soon and get some pictures of the boat under power.
Way to go getting it wet.
