Amazing. I don't think you ever get "done"with a boat but I think you have definitely set the bar high on Oscar. And the knowledge that you have and share is priceless. Thank you sir for saving Oscar what a beauty.

thanks gang........i would like to add.......so many here have come too this site looking for knowledge about these boats.........and with my experience, knowledge you will find.....ya just have to ask and inquire........we were all new members at one point......and we are all where we are today because of the wide open help from the new members before us..........i have a strong feeling this site will be around for quite some time, passing along our experiences from one old new member to the next new member..........my advice to those just joining in.......speak up and ask......there are no stupid questions, we were all in the same boat just different models..........dang if i can do it..........cheers

I know that joy you describe Neil. Just one of those moments in time when life just feels good. You're a shining example of what makes this site so great. We share trips, pics, knowledge, and projects. But it's when we share a moment like that, that we feel most connected by our fondness for these little boats. Thanks for sharing Neil !

What an AMAZING transformation! These antique boat shows should also have a category for most amazing transformation. Maybe they do... if so, enter Oscar asap.

Neil,
You're boat, motor and trailer all look great. I know you put a lot of time and work into those projects. You should be proud of yourself. John John

thanks guys, i used 3/8 threaded rod, strong enough, and acually flexes, i would guess around a 10-15lb push.......i will add a piece of pvc pipe accross the tops .....or counter sink the lock nuts........lifting the ars end now with the 30 on it to centre up , is not as easy as it was with the 15.....
