While designing your floor keep in mind that you may have rivet work to do underneath it. I've see a few Vagabonds where the floor was in panels and each easily lifted for access.

Loco - the transom wood is shot. Photos below. But I will worry about that later. Im starting with the floor and working up. I learned yesterday that the bulkhead was ripped out too, which explains why I could never figure out where y'all were talking about factory installed flotation material. It's all making a little sense now.

I am NOT a minimalist and I would like to continue maintaining my un-riveted feet. And if you might recollect, I broke my ankle a year ago just falling off a curb. So......YOU might not need a floor, but I need a floor. AND a cute boat.

Speaking of wood, how is the transom wood on your boat?

A floor isn't needed to get that ship on the water. I don't have one in mine but then i am a minimalist who enjoys the feel of rivets underfoot. .

Simple frame. For storage. Not traveling.

You are going to need to make some kind of frame to hold that cover up in the middle. Otherwise, it will just pocket and fill up with water when it rains.
You probably already knew this. John
