You've got a nick looking Vagabond there Carey.
You will really love it when you feel how it rides. Don't be putting any wire wheels on an angle grinder on it though. It could do permanent damage. .
Just getting used to the lay of this land.

Next weekend hopefully I can get the steering wheel off. And those damn finishing nails are still driving me insane. Letting it dry out. Will put the boat cover on tomorrow.

The stuff in the bottom pix, over the 2 screws, looks like it might be sun damaged epoxy-like.goop if its hard. GluvIt perhaps. If its soft, silicone maybe.

Bikecop ... that must be what the black stuff is all over the rivets at the bottom inside of the boat. Geez! I've been ignoring that stuff. Not ready to face it.
Ok...I tried SOS, Goo Gone, but not vinegar. The stuff is too thick. But where it has peeled off, it comes off clean. Maybe see what the Dad's stripper will do? The stuff on those screws is the same stuff. Looked gray in the direct sun. I was not planning to work on this part of the boat today. Got sidetracked!!!

I used goo gone and scotchbrite pads. I think back then someone came up with the grand idea of using leftover roofing tar. Put the goo gone on and let it sit then start scrubbing.
