There are more reliable carriers out there other than the U-ship people. I shipped a boat / Trailer from Michigan to Maine using an LTL flatbed. Unfortunately I do not recall the name of the company.

Try doing a google search for " LTL flat beds" Or LTL loads . LTL stands for Less than Load.

Don't piss the wife off :goof:

Well, I guess the creek rose. I had agreed to a rate with a U-Ship trucker on Sunday, but he subsequently told me that he needed to wait until today to confirm it, and then pick up the D-Rat on Wednesday. Long story short, he has disappeared today. U-Ship sucks a big one at times.

It looks like I'm going to be making a flyer up to Kentucky this week. The good part of that is that I'll get to meet Don. The bad part is that it's about 22 hours r/t, and my wife is seriously pissed. It'll be nice to get away from the hot tongue and cold shoulder for a day or so.

Needed to transfer data from a dead laptop to a new one.

Where did you find those photo's Bonz ?

I transferred them from the old site before it went poof.
I still have the originals on an old HP desktop that's collecting dust...but it might go poof if I try to fire it up.

Hey Terry,
Have you seen the stand alone hard drive accessories that hold a hard drive and have a power supply? I've had one a couple of years now and you and place almost any hard dive into it an read it. About $20.
.

Just getting used to the lay of this land.

I have some additional photo's hanging around...Thanks Bonz..That is a huge problem here in PA..Titles. This state assumes if you are in possession of anything in this state not titled it is stolen,,you are screwed. The people working at Penndot relish in the moment they get to tell you NO ! It's happened to me with old motorcycles, cars , boats and trailers. 20 yrs ago I picked up a CL-360 in Kalamazoo MI. with a bill of sale..Went thru hell trying to title it. Ended up getting a registration from Nevada for 80 bucks..Boats,,forget it. JR had to title the 55 Lonestar for me in North Carolina. Trailers,,Either registered in Maine or just swap the license plates.. Where did you find those photo's Bonz ? Man that had to be like over 10 yrs ago. I want to see this boat come to fruition .....

The history of the project just gets better and better.

Richard, Here's all the history as we know it.
I found it in a scrapyard and purchased it for Eagle127.

He stripped the paint and then found he couldn't title it and transfered it to Don.

Hot damn, if the creek doesn't rise, the D-Rat will leave it's home in Kentucky on Tuesday, and be in Alabama on Wednesday.
