Ran across this website: "Riveting Wraps". Appears they have experience with rivets.

Keep the prop wet and the humor dry.

You could go to a local Vinyl Sign Company. Probably not the best source for material, but you can pick their brain and get some good information, maybe a lead on something too.

Even if you did have a bubble it would look like a rivet

Avery Dennison has a huge selection of colors. Only one problem, I don't see a USA distributor.

Both impressive and thought provoking. Too bad the color isn't closer to the anodized blue. I wonder how close the gold is.

Check out some box trucks that have a wrap on them. It goes over their rivets pretty well. Not sure if a heat gun is needed though.

got the vinyl wrap today and played a little with it. The color blue is a little bit dark and has a slight purple hue to it, but the finish is great! The vinyl is called Deep Blue Satin Chrome. I really like the color, just isn't a perfect match to the anodize blue. Here are a couple of pics. Mind you, I did not spend a lot of time or effort in making it perfect. What I can see is that this stuff is very workable and believe a quality finish can be done without too much effort, just some patience. A heat gun helped with tight areas and would be needed around the rivets. With a little research (youtube has great videos) and the right tools, just about anyone can do this. Interesting option that will not do any harm to the boats, motors or whatever you want to apply it to.

...again, don't get caught up with the bubbles and wrinkles, I didn't put much effort or any prep on the jar. If anyone would like a sample, just PM me your address and I will mail you a piece (Jennings, got one coming your way already ;) )
