John, the technology is surely there. hands down Mercury is definitely spending their money on research and development. I guess I would need a brand new 40 ft Boston Whaler center console to run a bunch of those monsters.

I just read an article showing a new outboard motor that Mercury is introducing this spring. It is a V 12 that develops 600 HP. The motor stays stationery when making a turn. Only the lower unit rotates. There will be two propellers mounted on the propeller shaft. Maybe Marc could put this on his next Clipper project.
