The fuel hose is new as of the May Arrowhead, and automotive fuel line instead of the grey plastic stuff.

Both primer bulbs are/were pointed in the correct direction.

Gas was not coming out of the carb, but I could only get a stiff bulb with the new bulb. The tuner looks like a spray. Spray it in the carb? or in the gas?

On a setup I just acquired, the primer bulb was installed backwards.....

Is there gas coming out the carb when squeezing the bulb, stuck float?

You could try some Johnson/Evinrude engine tuner for the carb.

how old is fuel hose?
i have had a couple grey hoses lately the inner liner completely came apart and blocked up the primer bulb check valves and it internally blocked the hose at the motor end fuel connector

if the hose is anything but a couple years old i recommend replacing it as the ethanol just eats the crap out of them

i have had a primer bulb check valve go bad too and not allow fuel to pass through it

Ok, Took the boat out to the lake today after making my adjustments. Motor didn't want to start at first, and the primer bulb didn't seem to want to pump the gas. Sounded like it was blowing air back into the tank. I did get it started though and got it running smooth. Then all of a sudden it would stop and not restart until I pumped the bulb back up again.

And it was random. Run for a few seconds and stop. Run for a few minutes and stop. Each time, I could only get it to start back up after pumping the bulb.

I swapped out the bulb with a new one and it was still cutting out, though it seemed to pump better and fill up the line completely.

I couldn't try my second tank as it didn't have any gas.

Any suggestions? Fuel pump is my next guess.

Yes, the fuel tank vent was open.

While it ran, it ran well. And the adjustments gave me some more speed! And more porpoising.
