I’m disassembleing this motor for parts. I’m really only using the power head.
The other javelin I’m getting is in Florida. The motor in Florida is complete. Chrome and all. I have been restoring Johnson’s for about 7-8 years and have had great satisfaction of bringing the past to life. This is the first step towards powering a feathercraft. I have been planning this for sometime. I no this is mostly a aluminum boat (Feathercraft) site but but I feel this is some what relevant. This is what I started with the parts motor.

I used this one on my 3hp johnson and had a tough time with the seal. Chewed it up pretty good. Was looking for a better way. I ended up putting my big boy pants on and trying the puller and it popped right out! Thanks for all the suggestions!

I ended up using a long screwdriver because it chewed up that seal puller and spat it out..

This is the one I used. You have to use a BFH with it.
