I’m hoping Labor Day week up in Michigan for the big trial run. Been finishing wood for transom and got all stainless machine screws for assembly of knee brace and wood.

looks great, and i know you will enjoy it on the water, very strong motors them 30hp.........only cause i am bias with 3 of them..........lol.........cheers to your getting it wet.........

That motor is beautiful! Excellent choice and even greater work to bring it back to glory. You should be proud. I have it's sister, the '56 Lark. These two motors are absolutely my two favorite motors out there, hands down. Great year for style, OMC nailed it in '56.

I use Captain's varnish on all the wood on my boat also. It is a great product.
