Fuel tank gaskets cut and assembled......



the plate came off the water pump assembly...
Wandering if any member of this group lives in Omaha NE area....?



called FergusonPoole marine for new impeller and few other parts, may take the whole assembly out and put a new seal in.....

Yes, I have that out.....the pin I was showing is a propeller drive clutch shear.....amazing what one can learn from reading about and understanding the components......your idea will work then !!

I think there should be a single coil spring or wire that retains the plate. With it removed the plate should slide off the prop shaft. You could try turning the lower unit so the propshaft is vertical. With the gearcase up, tap the prop shaft on a piece of wood. The plate should fall off with gravity and impact.

plate started to move: back and forth - due to limitation from the pin....not sure what to do with the pin - I was able to pound it in a little, but have a feeling that this is not a good idea, it's there probably not to let the plate spin......

I was told that it's not threaded in early motors like this one.......
