I have transitioned from buying projects to buying turn key finished products. I enjoyed the restoration process on old boat/kart etc. now I’m enjoying mor arrive and drive boat seat time. Maybe it’s part of the aging process, restoration more for the young-er..and/or the learning process. Either way, I love old boats. If you don’t have one/yours is not ready, come cruise with us...always open seats available. And good motivation to complete your project, seeing what fun tHe outcome is..

My thoughts, exactly. Only, in my case, I have too many other projects on my To Do list.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I now consider it to be a super power.

I agree with BoatBoy about New York not being "The second shittyist state to own a boat." I live minutes from both the Mohawk and the Hudson. There is the Erie Canal, two of the Great Lakes, the Saint Lawrence and countless lakes, large and small, in the stunning and constitutionally protected "Forever Wild" Adirondack Park. I could confine my boating to New York only and not run out of enjoyable places to take my Vagabond. For those who want to boat in salt water, there is no shortage of options. Yes, the weather is often cold and the taxes far too high but it is a fine place to own a boat.

Don't stop there Jeff. Do the Great Loop. I know several who have done it. It is my dream, that I fully intend to accomplish.

If I had stopped when Mark lost interest, the background photo on this page would never have happened
I don't think Mark has a whole lot to complain about. His ROI on the boats he restored is a whole lot better than most.
