I think we all might have suspected that, even if we don't freely admit it. ;)

I think it does make sense and it's done at several very successful sites I belong to. AOMCI for one supports both member and public listings.

The member listings are always more interesting.

I haven't suggested that it be mandatory to post a listing in a private forum here. The lister would have a choice.

Anyone can do what I do...use a search engine that searches Craig's List like "AdHuntr.com"; I keep a template of the basic code to post the links (Learned that for free here on this website) " " on Notepad. Copy & paste the link between the opposing brackets and keep looking.

I'd hope that "all" members & non-members who are interested in the "brand" search at least their surrounding areas.

I'm in favor of "brand awareness," anything to make sure the "folks" out there aren't scrapping "Grandpa" Meteor-Topper or Lapstrake Hawk.

Not all "member" posts are "more interesting," there or here, even this one. IMHO.

Just sayn'

I wasn't singling you out, obviously I struck a sensitive cord. This is not a problem unique to you or anyone else for that matter. I just don't think it makes sense to privatize any for sale leads for the benefit of the members.

The Klamath boat is a 50's SC, similar to the one for sale in the FC classifieds....
