Obviously not a factory job on this one.

The pop rivets tell the story, no way Feather Craft used pop rivets in anything, too weak.

tis a shame, but pop rivets can be drilled out one at a time......think of them as premature cleko's......:hand:

The picture that OldLure posted changes my opinion expressed in my previous post re: being the same opening as the one I had. It isn't. Was a cool theory though. :)

Ft Myers rocket, previous owner had some posts for this boat on the site in Fall of 2016. I had this photo of it after a little clean up. I can't find the link.

VERY interesting! Obviously the hull was originally gold. What is of most interest to me though is that this is the only other Rocket I've seen that had the rear compartment enlarged like the gold one I bought over 15 yrs ago. The shape of the opening supports my theory that it was done at the factory and not by a previous owner. Thanks for posting this ad. I also agree with Brunswickian that it is a good price. A very good price in my opinion.
In fact, after 5 minutes of thought I've contacted my cousin in St Pete to see if he has a place to store it for me if he doesn't get it for himself. As much as I don't want to drive that far, I'm giving it serious consideration.

I love the look of that Rocket. That seems like a good price for that boat.
