It's much simpler. If you do end up making them from wood, I could re-size either to fit the open space. I can do this to pretty much any wood part, floorboards, paddles, etc.

Glad the Maiden went well.

That's pretty nice! Not sure what you meant about the "Feathercraft in my first picture", but anyway... Syd is reaching out to me about the frames and hopefully, when I get them, I can cut a piece of Padauk that I've been using, rout some ribs into it with a deeper spot for the logo. Hell, most people just step into the boat anyway, so it's mostly for looks! When I get that far, maybe I can send it to you.

Took the boat for a Maiden Spin yesterday. Ran very well. Wanted to porpoise at higher speed with three people in it, but not with just one. We may try setting the motor down a notch. I was trimmed all the way down and had no where to adjust. (Up was worse). I had a lot of water in the boat after about 5 miles. I knew the plug was leaking a bit, but this was more than that. Took out the floor boards to fill it with water, but immediately saw a missing rivet, the one I had questioned which looked like a pop rivet. Well, now it's a no rivet at all! So that was probably it. I hope.

Hey Brook,

I had chance to try engraving a piece of mahogany. Probably not all that durable for a step pad, but it looks ok.

The simpler 'Feather Craft' in your first pic would be simpler and quicker. Coves could be routed rather than the raised ribs.

Do you have Venmo or Paypal? Or where do I send the check? Sounds good. Thanks!

I have four step pad frames from my Clipper that are in bad shape. None of them have pads that fit inside the frames. The only identification I can see is a small circle cast into the back of the frames with the letters NF inside the circle. As you can see they are mounted with five screws. Does anyone have frames like mine that they would be willing to part with?

A set like the bottom photo or the second photo down from the top look good! They appear to be aluminum Perko. How much do you want for a set?
