Im a little late on this one but looking at the boat it may have been an Old Town  As far as outboards go I believe they are the wetist ones I have ever been in.
As far as trailers go, if you can find one (they are not made anymore) I have a Cox trailer that I bought new back in the late 80's and other than a few drops of paint it still looks new  Great trailers

Some of this style Tee Née did not have the rear cross member supports. Look at the catalogs on Fiberglassics and you will see this. This would be fine for a small fishing boat with a small motor but not a heavier boat like a Vagabond. Mine was one such case and member here provided me with detail drawings of his so I could have them fabricated.

Just be aware if you’re going to use one of these types of trailers the Feather Craft factory recommended using trailers with bunks that extended beyond the transom. A hook (dent or recess in the bottom of the hull) as small as 1/32” can adversely impact handling.

I see the painted over serial # tag on the backside of the axle cross member, right side. Remove some paint and you may see the stamped # Should be 5 or 6 digits

These old trailers are growing on me... I am not happy with the trailer I have. But if an oldie but a goodie came my way, I think I would pick it up and modify it to support my boat perfectly.  But having a current trailer would allow to restore and use the boat at the same time, best of both worlds.

Good luck,

PS. The Quicksilver controls look to be in great shape.

The trailer I'm picking up at the end of the month had those bars fabricated. I don't think you will find new ones.
The one I'm picking up also had the axle cross member moved forward to better balance the load.
Might as well see how your vagabond fits on it before you decide.
Wheels and fenders are desirable.

If there was work to do to get the boat on the water, I would put the trailer on the back burner and get the boat on the water, I sure wouldn’t miss a season of boating that I can never get back just to have a vintage trailer sitting at the boat launch.
But that’s just an old guy’s opinion. ;-)

Ok, this is starting to makes sense.  It's an OB-40 with half the transom support?   The 2 support bars are missing.  That's probably why the main beam cracked and bent.  Without the help of the extra support bars, the main beam cracked.

Are those bars available that you know of?  I'll have to Google around and see.  I suppose that they could be fabricated too.

Do you think this is a parts trailer?  Or salvageable?
Given the work left on the boat, and the time it'll take to get a motor running,  I'm thinking I just delayed getting on the water even more. I wasn't planning on a trailer restoration as well.

The trailer is growing on me though.  It has nice lines.

I'm in a suburb of Milwaukee BTW. I didn't answer your question from earlier.

Without the transom support. You only have the rear cross member. You don't have the bars that support the ends of it.
