Looking to sell my boat and motor 19 Apr 2021 12:13 #111073

I have no time or talent to restore this cool boat. My buddy gave it to me just before he passed away.
When I got it it was full of rain water and leaves. It is registered in New Jersey. I have paperwork from that owner, who my friend got it from.
It does not leak. I found that all the rivets are tight. There are a few stainless screws and a few steel bolts that should not be there above the waterline. . I freed up the steering column and the controls. There is a strange steel plug that is frozen into the drain hole. The boat has been painted at some point. The wood on the transom is soft.
I did pretty much nothing to the engine except put some Seafoam and Marvel mystery oil in the spark plug holes.
(I want to take it out with my 15hp Merc,, just to say I took it out once.)

Thanks. If you look at the picture of the number stamped on the transom it is RRII 12 448 578G .I used the info on this site to determine what it is. I could be wrong. It's happened before once or twice.. Any ideas what it is??

Looks like if you took it to the water today it would be a stand up cruise.  ;-)
