By the way, the boat in the photos looks to be sitting on the ground, that can be a problem in some soils you can get corrosion eating away at the Aluminum. Thanks Mark. They do go on an oval head screw that fits into a countersunk hole. The parts book shows it in the wrong place where a flat external lock washer would go.
