I think Henry Ford and Ole Evinrude out rank the engineers (and others) that have followed along and decided they were wrong to call their companies “motor” companies ![]() Proud Owner of 1956 Vagabond, 1950 Flyer, 1956 Rocket, Co-owner 1952 Flash, 10-1/2 less than VinTin

‘Motor and engine are interchangeable in standard English.[5] In some engineering jargons, the two words have different meanings, in which engine is a device that burns or otherwise consumes fuel, changing its chemical composition, and a motor is a device driven by electricity, air, or hydraulic pressure, which does not change the chemical composition of its energy source.[6][7] However, rocketry uses the term rocket motor, even though they consume fuel.‘. “Engine” vs “motor”?-I was told years ago that an “engine’” refers to an internal combustion power source, and the term “motor” refers to an electric power source-true? If so, Indianapolis Motor Speedway is Incorrect?
