Be aware this is what it takes to get any real speed out of the Clipper, straight from the factory ;-)

My “57” Clipper is the same shape as “boatboys”. “V” shape from centerline to chine. Hull riveted to transom from bottom. No trim tabs.

i do not have the trim tabs present on your hull
i first though the high transom was added by someone over the years as it does look pretty hokey

Our boats are cousins, I think they are two or so serial numbers apart. DCL 4 214 59GOHT. Deluxe Clipper, April, #214, 1959, gold annodizing, HT indicates high transom.

Man, it looks like every one of these have a different bottom design, I like the angled chines and flatter bottom under Larry’s boat but the curved chines under Dan’s are interesting, and the lift strake at the edge is really interesting, you guys need to get these boats on the water under power so we can see how they do!

If you look closely you can see the slight radius against the straight line.

The guy I bought this clipper from told me that's the way Walt wanted it.

I see BoatBoy's Clipper looks to be a two straight line V shape like none of the others posted so far.

I'm saving all of these photos as I've never seen these variations documented.

My 1957 Clipper has a different bottom where it meets the transom.

i first though the high transom was added by someone over the years as it does look pretty hokey

someone added a grab rail ,enclosed the side of the motor well /inner fins and added aluminum checker plate to the front of the splash well to make it much higher and i plan on leaving that as you will really need to take a high wave astern to swamp you
the aluminum material used to enclose the fins has the same textured pattern the deck has so i am wondering if it was factory or dealer add on
