I think that is normal.
“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing–absolutely nothing–half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

1970 Johnson 25 question 26 Sep 2020 22:04 #107774

Been working on my 1970 Johnson 25hp. Been parked a while so I installed a new impeller and water tube seal before starting it up. Running it in the tub today, I noticed water coming out of two holes right at the bottom of the pivot tube. Never noticed this before but, everything else looks good. I assume these are there to allow water to drain out when not running but, never noticed before and thought I would ask the experts. The attached photo is not very good but may help describe.
