Trust me I know its not the best stuff but this has the look, VHT Burnt Copper. It is satin out of the can and if you clear it it looses that special look. I did my cars dash in it, also several engine bits and my Johnson Shipmaster Controller.
Wherever I found that particular pic, and quite a few similar, the posters noted that it was the pagan gold over orion silver. But yeah, I plan to order some samples to play with first before I commit.

That looks like something a little more orange that Pagan Gold. Pagan has more of a root beer color. Also, you get the Pagan gold in a basecoat that you spray without the orion silver base, Essentially you lay down black with it over it. Then you get it in a candy where you have to lay down your orion silver first. I’d say these two are more what you’re looking for: www.kolorhouse.com/hoc-pbc30-q01.html www.kolorhouse.com/hoc-pbc66-q01.html
A good place to get samples is TCPGlobal.com. They sell premixed airbrush size bottles that you can try first.

In any case, it looks like Bill has already painted his Rocket.
Rick, the motor I just redid was painted with HOK Pagan Gold. Look at my “Mercury Mark 75 Rebuild” topic.

I’d suggest you try a candy color to try to replicate the anodizing. I’d spray an very fine metallic silver and then a light blue (or whatever color you want) candy over it. You can check out House of Kolor candy video to see what one can do.
Candy Paint sounds interesting but yet expensive too. I watched a couple video's and it a cool way to paint to achieve a deep Deep finish. I bet the reflection of the water on a hull would look sweet.
