TOPIC: Windshield brackets

Windshield brackets 29 Dec 2019 23:03 #100938

hello all ! just ran across this post. I don't know what all boats used these brackets but I have a set of originals that fit the screw holes on my Arkansas Traveler and here is a picture of an original unmolestedly Arkansas Traveler ( not mine ) but the same as mine, with those brackets on and a ad for another one with them..

The Hawk had a busted up windshield with no brackets. I ordered two sets from Bruce. I'll mount one set on the Hawk directly in front of the helm with just about 24" of windshield. The other set will go on Careys Vagabond spanning the full width. B)

Gotta pass on them for now. The underground railroad is obviously still chugging along in these colder months.
Hey rob, Did the Hawk have a windshield, I can't remember? These I think would look cool on that boat

Please add me to the list of people who would like to have a pair of the brackets. They are definitely the coolest ones I've seen yet.

"Sorry no, the center bracket is not in the package, I custom made and fit this to my application, I do recommend that a clip of some sort be placed in the center along the bottom, due to the distance between the brackets, help stabilize the shield from lifting during travel/cruising and vibration causing potential cracking at the attachment points of the shield and bracket[/quote]

Or put them close together just in front of the helm...…...

Jabe,
I saw these on your boat this summer and they are very cool.
Thanks for your contribution to the effort!
