Because 78°F is just barely above freezing down here and the ice on the lake had just broke up.

So... your ice fishing houses down there are equipped with pontoons then? ;) Damn, I gotta' move south!

I still remember seeing my first ice fishing house!

Surface water temp at Lanier yesterday was about 55 degrees. Cruising around in an aluminum boat, even in the sunshine, with the ambient temp in the high seventies, blended with the brisk breeze yesterday got my attention pretty quick. On with the sweatshirt. I made it maybe a mile in short sleeves....... Shortly after I donned mine, I noticed Jennings opting for his and Dan having already made the trek from Van Pugh to Little Ridge and over to East Bank where Carol and I hooked up with them had already figured it all out.

It was though, a great day at the lake.

Great pix guys!

Merky

Wish I could have been there with you on that cruise, however, I hope to be cruising in Florida in 23 days.
