Kethridge's 1955 Vagabond 20 Jan 2020 02:33 #101502

Thought I'd take a chance on resurrecting this thread. Well Kethridge, how's the Vagabond coming along? :)

Thanks, I will update with the serial number. Im sick, i just missed a 1957 Evinrude Lark 35, not a scratch on It! Some guy named Dan from TN bought it for his '53 feather. Wish I had "Dan's " number. Guy that sold it to him said he was headed to Michigan to a swap meet. He'll probably flip it. Ah well. So anyways...that's the motor I'm after. Anyone have thoughts or know the whereabouts of one?

Welcome aboard officially...

I am glad to see you got the boat. Just remember when posting questions do so with pictures. Members here love pictures...

Be sure to add your serial number to the SN Registry. As I have a 1955 Vagabond I like to see other 1955 Vagabonds and when they came off the line.

There are other members who also restore campers so your in good company.

It also looks like you scored a gator trailer...

There was a bit of discussion about double trailer towing in this thread .

This is a link from a much older discussion that might provide a starting point.

Thanks everyone. For the time being the camper will be hauled with a truck and my wife will bring the boat. Ultimately I would like to install a receiver on the back of the camper and double tow them together. I haven't done all of the research on that yet, but anything is possible.

Congratulations! Looks like you have a great platform to begin with...nice score. Love the camper, that combo will truly turn heads. You will not find a better place to bounce ideas off of, seek help or information, or simply share the progress than here. Heck, you can probably find plenty of help for your camper if you ever are seeking info... don't underestimate THIS group! I am on a couple vintage boat pages on Facebook... often when a question arises, someone will suggest "go ask the Feathercraft guys" no matter the subject!
