Neal, I'm using 0.062" 5052 and it gets hard pretty quick so you need to really go for it when you start. I just picked out the hammers that I'm sure I used on the dash & center deck. The deck was done all cold, the dash required heating and normalizing so that's where the steel hammers come in. I try to do as much cold as I can with the dead blow or rubber mallets or the leather hammer but there is a limit to what you can do that way. Once you tear into it with the steel hammers the degree of difficulty increases rapidly.
Here's the hammers used.

Here's the start of a pattern for the seat back.

The paper towel holder is my home made crankshaft trueing stand for Harley Davidson flywheels, here's a crank out of a 165 C.I. Harley Pro Stock drag bike, runs 175 MPH in 7.60 seconds. :woohoo:

It seems crazy but it has taken me two weeks to make the center deck, looks easy but I make it harder than it needs to be by being so careful with each step to make sure I don't have to start over from scratch.
I used the same board that was a pattern for the dash as a pattern to put the flange on the center deck, it takes a lot to get the pattern mounted so I can beat on it enough to roll the flange on it.

The runabout I never did check speed with the MK25H. The hydro gave me 64.9 with the MK55H set up. This was the first time setting something like this up. A lighter person could do better and I am sure that the motor could use a couple of shim sticks under it.
The way it is set up now, she runs well, pops herself up on plane without any problem and is a good speed for fun. I have talked with the person how drove this boat in competition with the 44SS (?) on it when they came out with it. He said that this boat ran in the mid 80's with it and was in a league of its own. Won the nationals one year, but was dq because he did not buy local fuel and it tested different. She is a fun boat. It was even fun with my MK25H but she became a whole new boat with the MK55H. I still have some different props to try. I tried a 3 blade, this pops her right up on plane, by the time I started it and turned around and hooked up my kill switch she was on plane. Then tried a two blade, this was 1 or 2 mph faster and what gave me the top speed so far. The getting on plane with that just took getting up close to the wheel and then we were off.
