Welcome aboard Awka-man! Traveling to score a cool FC is a way of life around these parts. Good hunting!

Where are you located in Savanah? My oldest son lives on the Forrest River at Coffee Bluff. We get down that way to visit often.

Cheers,

Merky

I missed Gene's by 5 minutes, and I don't see pictures, but I'm pretty sure the second is the one I found on Craigslist and I heard from him this morning! We'll see!

We're in Savannah, GA and have a 42' sail boat, I'd love to have something I can get out onto the water in the evening a little easier.

Welcome to the madness. Keep an eye on CL and FB marketplace, lots of them pop up on there. Do not be afraid to travel to get the right one, both mine were over 5 hours one way away. There are several members who have one or more that could be yours. You just need to decide which style/size you prefer and if you want one water ready or are willing to build up from a bare hull. Once all that is decided then you hunt patiently.

Didn't use anything to remove the anodizing... just the sun. I bought some Everbrite to see if I could bring it back, but I'm not very optimistic..

Thanks everyone. I'll start a restoration thread when I get a chance, and it will be filled with lots of questions lol.
