Correction to my previous post, every user is supposed to get 10 free ads.  I changed this back in August from 2 ads to 10 ads.  What I do not know is if users who have posted ads prior to this or even users who where members prior to this that it is retroactive.

Mike,  I see that you posted an ad back in July prior to me making the change.  I will check with the developer of the classified ads to see if the count is retroactive.

Ever user should gets two free ads, to post more than that you can get 24 more ads for $5.00.  

I think if the same ad runs consecutively to two 30 day periods that counts as two ads.

I show that you have 23 more ads available.

Steve this did not work for me when I placed the ad that is currently running. Keep the $5. for the site but you can fix it before I renew the ad.

Originally I set the free classified ads limit to 2. The thought behind that was to prevent anybody from using the classified ads as their own personal store.  If someone wanted to do that then they could donate $5.00 to the site for 24 more ads. 

I'm not looking to make money from the classified ads.  I believe that there is value in the classified ads to the members on the site, especially when somebody has something to sell that maybe useful to someone for their boat(s).  To help promote the use of the classified ads I have increased the limit of the free ads to 10.
