You know, I found that interesting also. I received that catalog in an envelope with a number of other aluminum boat catalogs, also from 1947 and '48, that were all addressed to one of the early shareholders of Larson Watercraft, later to become Crestliner. From the tone of letters that accompanied some of the brochures, it sounds as if he was inquiring as a potential distributor or dealer. Maybe he was just checking out the competition, who knows? All were dated in pencil on the cover, I assume the date received. Birmingham? Who knows? I’m not sure whether this was mailed from Atlanta or not, it did not have an envelope with it. Some of the catalogs did, some didn’t. Anyway, it’s an interesting mystery, not sure if I can explain it.
I have added to the site under "fc info" - "Vintage Trailers" a download button that will provide a list of catalog information that can be downloaded from the site regarding Tee Nee Trailers. The list is by year. I found most of these on face book. I will add more as they come up.
