Who Remembers When 09 Aug 2018 14:00 #87442

Found my first FC Vagabond in 2012. By Mistake. Found it on Craig's list. Was the first one to call about it.
It was Careworn, peeling black paint, mismatched everything, artificial turf seats, some sawzall damage, lots of rivets, sexy rear end. Had to have it. $1500.00. Boat, motor and trailer. All have been brought back to life and still work. Did some research and found this site. A year later I found a "57" Clipper and had to have that too! First thing I do when I turn on the computer is check out what is going on here. Don't post much but enjoy checking it out. Only rivet head I have met is Rick G. and hope to run into others somewhere along the line. One of these days, make it to one of the get togethers. Thanks Steve for putting the effort into this site. Unfortunately I don't know anyone well enough on this site to refer to them as assholes like BBJ. But who knows........someday maybe. heh, heh.

As always, this lovefest needs a huuuuuuge campfire and a keg of Abita! THANK YOU STEVE for being the Creator! This digital Feathercraft baby of yours is dynamic and a staple of many friendships! I hope to meet you and Dawn in person in September!

I have been here since Feb 2012. I met a bunch of y'all with the riveted BigBadJon at Russ and Kathy's. Nobody shunned me for my Landau and Honda. It wasn't long until I started wasting my money away on Feather Crafts.
I've have been to at least 8 or so forum member's homes, even been to the Bahamas with of few of you assholes. A couple of ya have been to my humble abode. I have slept for a week at a time in FLA, Texass, North Carolina and camped at Rivetpaloosa, Arrowhead, Suwannee, St. Johns River, St. Marks, Tavares, Fort Worth and Yellow Jacket.
I wouldn't have traded this experience for love or money. I have made the best friends ever and met the love of my life.
I owe this to Steve. Thank you Sir. I love every one of you SOB's.......B)

Russ, I attended every Rivetpalooza you held and enjoyed them all. If you have another one I'll be there for sure. You and Kathy are wonderful hosts.

Not sure how long I've been on here but the site is one of the best things that's happened to me. I've made some great lifelong friends and hosting or attending a FC function is always the highlight of the year for me. I just hate not having Rivetpalooza, for sure. Hopefully, in time we'll do it some more.

I remember when the “Aluminati” was formed and I use that term loosely since I think it was a clever tongue and cheek reference made by Uncle Buzz. I could be wrong. My perception of that short period was that it was as a dark time for the forum. Many great members were driven away by infighting and poor manners. I’m glad it’s over. We are in a digital world. Nothing digital is permanent. You can’t resist change. Steve made the choice that was best for everyone and I thank him for it. Sometimes the right choices are not popular.
