I attended the AOMCI South Florida Gator Chapter meet 11/7 in Labelle FL.
This good looking '58 Hawk II was displayed, alleged to have been one of the Cypress Gardens clown boats. It has been painted.

I attended an informal meet 10/30-10/31 called Resins, Rivets & Rots in Ft. McCoy FL at Island Lake.
This '55 Vagabond was displayed. I don't think he has ever run it with this "quickie"

Here's another shot of the Fire Fly with the large tree mostly dissected. I made some mushroom 'totems' and inoculated them with shiitake spawn pushed into chainsaw kerfs cut into the sapwood. These totems will get covered with 90 gallon black plastic garbage bags to keep moisture levels high for the next couple of months. The largest totem is about 24" in diameter at it's base. Here's the kerfs. Here's the shiitake spawn being worked into the kerfs. Here's one finished totem. Here are all six totems. I also inoculated the stump (which fell back into the hole it made when it blew over). It was almost 36 inches across at the cut. Spawn filled kerfs are in the stump with the first section cut going on top. .

I cruised the Ohio River this afternoon from the Beaver River to The Dashields Dam and Locks. I used up all the remaining gas I had and then some. The skies were clear, the temperature was in the mid 70s and the water was as smooth as glass. I plan on covering the boat for the winter tomorrow. I only saw two other pleasure boats on the river.

Big time for sure: A bit breezy, mostly overcast and a few drizzles did not deter us........

That looks like a good cruise. It is supposed to get up to 75 degrees here in Pittsburgh today so I plan on going for my last boat ride of the year this afternoon. I also want to use up the rest of my gas. Will be cruising on the Ohio River.
