I was just kidding about the cow patties. That is very interesting though. Dan what are a couple key words I could Google to see more about it? 1957 Clipper with a 1969 Merc 1000

These are not that kind. The spawn is mycelium and it spreads throughout the log and in a few months or maybe even a couple of years in the big wood I used, it fruits. That fruit we call a mushroom. Shiitake is what I used. I have two more kinds yet to do. Lions mane and Wine caps. .

Alan that sounds like it was a great time. Sitting floating and chillin. Loons have such a cool sound. And they Are cool birds too.
That first picture of the motor and the sunset is a very cool shot. all good shots but I like the first one the most. Thanks for sharing. 1957 Clipper with a 1969 Merc 1000

Darlene and I cruised the Barbee chain of lakes last Sunday, a unusual 74 degrees for this time of year but probably our last cruise this year, its going to be a high of 47 degrees today. We ran six gallons out and were out there about six hours and only saw a few other boats out, mainly fishing boats. The last bit we just floated and enjoyed listening to the quiet and some migratory birds (Coots, Loons) that we only get to see twice a year for a few weeks, its a different kind of quiet on the lakes after the leaves are gone.

That's north of me about 2 hours or so. I am on lake Erie about 25 miles south of the Trenton channel/Detroit River. Or about 6 miles north of the Maumee River. Luna Pier Michigan. 1957 Clipper with a 1969 Merc 1000
