The best part about this is I didn't drill any new holes in mah boat, got lucky and hit all the old ones. That was a trick.

It's still winter here, although it did get up to 70 degrees today... The ice is starting to go away. I may get the boat in early this year...

in retrospect, considering how pretty the oak turned out, I almost regret mounting that "jack plate"... and the cost. lol. I must be getting old, just doing the transom work wore me out. Ran a new steering cable (all one piece) and mounted cleats up front. I drug it down to "Big Daddies" in Lewisville off 121. John is an old friend and I know absolutely nothing about Mercs. A new split harness, get it running, new impeller and service the lower unit. I figure I'll spend at least 500 with him. hopefully I can be on the lake with it for my birthday at the end of the month. we'll see.

p.s. I didn't drill any new holes in the boat. got lucky and hit all the old ones. that was a trick.
