Yep... I'm interested in seeing it too. We love pictures around here. :)

Wow. I have been scouring the internet for weeks for proof that the boat I found on Craigslist actually existed outside of a Feathercraft catalog. I too have a Riverboat. I think it is a '63. Mine is in much better shape, although it has been painted several times. Its great to finally see that someone else has one of these. I will open a new thread with pics in a few days. I am about 30%done stripping the paint off. Its quite a project.

Another one of these popped up on a craigslist ad, not sure what happened to it. Interesting looking bot...

It'll be interesting to see how this boat performs and handles. The catalog pic shows it with a pretty good sized motor, and the hull form looks to be derived from the 'Hickman Sea Sled'. There seems to have been quite a bit of interest in this design in the '50s, although Hickman applied for the patent in the early 1900s.

Air trapped in the inverted V at speed apparently softens the ride in a chop.

Glad to see you got it.

Not many around and it's great to see it is in the hands of someone who is interested in preserving it.

Always glad to hear when these more unusual Feather Craft boats get saved!

Looking forward to watching the restoration.

Very Cool! Congrats on finding it.

Looks like you've got your work cut out for you, but you'll have a pretty unique (...maybe one of a kind?) boat when you're done.

I ended up buying this boat. I have a 54 Whirlwind Deluxe that Im currently restoring but had always wanted a feather craft. Found it on craigslist and couldn't pass it up after I found out what it was. They guy was in a bad place, needed cash, moving from motel to motel weekly. It was a pretty sketchy transaction but I got it. She definitely needs some work. Bad trailer set up has caused a crack in the up right of the bow and the hull is dented in in some places due to using standard bunking vs. pontoon type bunks. The transom and bracket has been cut down as well. I've pulled out all the old plywood, bass boat seats and cleaned her out. She'll be in storage until I can do the research and get the tools to start the repairs; new to riveting.
