Our local theatre, the Embassy in Fort Wayne was opened in 1928. My favorite theater's to see a show in are built in that era of the 20's and 30's or before,  where the building is part of the amplification.  I once saw John Mellencamp at the Embacy theatre in Fort Wayne Indiana and some severe storms came through during the show and knocked the main power out for a bit,  i think the generators had enough to power the lights but no P.A.  Anyway John Mellencamp went ahead and played around three songs with a acoustic guitar, some percussion and a fiddle and some people helping sing.  It was the most fantastic experience to hear the building amplify.  We were up in the balcony, not real close to the stage but we could hear everything just great. Then the power came back on and it was business as usual but I'll never forget those few songs performed without the P.A.

We are lucky to have the spectacular Tennessee Theater that opened in Knoxville in 1928.
We have seen some of the greatest shows there, not a bad seat in the house, incredible acoustics and the most beautiful atmosphere. It takes you back in time, nothing is built like it today.

Dana and I are headed to Nashville this afternoon to see Billy Strings in concert for the fourth time, he just gets better and better!

WELL ????

Absolutely awesome show, sold out the Bridgestone Area for Friday and Saturday night and sold out the Ryman Auditorium for Sunday! Nashville rocks and so does Billy Strings!

I believe this might be why the saying is "Cleveland rocks!"
