I added up the numbers on the Arrowhead attendance sheet which most folks signed. The numbers of the boats and people who attended some time during the week are 34 boats and 55 people. It was great to see everyone even though my visiting time was a bit short. I can't believe we are looking at the end of the 2020 boating season coming soon. Looking forward to next year.

take care,
Nick

You are correct sir-and that is with a full custom wood interior that added weight..maybe it is in a third clears-FC with modern engine-he was running a 115 Suzuki 4 stroke.

My project is a D Clipper with a 100hp Merc TOP straight 6 short shaft with tilt and trim. Power-to-wegjt ratio of,that combo should be comparable to,the Islander/Suzuki combo? D weights in at 485 lbs according to,factory.

Other project could,be repowering my Runabout-I have yet to even splash it and get GPS readings..

Maybe both by spring Arrowhead...

For those wondering about the obsession with speed....it’s a Motörhead thing...

Hey Chip,

You left out the mighty Islander, running along at 43 MPH with a full top, that's what you guys with the mythical Clipper Ships will be shooting at if one ever hits the water at a meet, it hasn't happened yet ;-)

I’m trying to be in the game myself-fastest I recorded was 32.5 with my Merc 45 on my rear steer Vag that I just sold. Two “classes” as I see it; “stock” hulls and “modified” hulls-Ray aka Locomotion has top speeds in both groups-Vag; 38mph with and 40mph without windshield 52-55dor his custom Flyer? hull. In my skunk works is a Delux Clipper with 100hp short shaft tower-of-Power-not sure if that will do it. But I’m trying...second place is
still ............

I will admit Frankenrude is a bit of a witch's brew ;-)

Ray, we all know that's not the real story. Frankenrude is madjik, perhaps even with a little alchemy. Anyone who has ever participated in sanctioned racing knows that we all cheat (for the sensitive types, bending/expanding the rules), and he who cheats best is almost always going to win.

Some people have the touch, some don't. Those who have it are absolutely amazing, and the rest of us are jealous. :-)
