Connie and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Such a great group to be involved with. Many thanks to everyone's advice on our motor. Sorry we were late for the group picture. That motor just didn't want to start...
While everyone was out on Sunday's trip, A gentleman walked up to us and offered to help out with the motor. It is at his place right now. He has already torn it apart and is replacing the top and bottom bearings (among a few other things). Hope to have it running good in the spring when we see you next time.
Again, many thanks to all who helped us out and to Jabe for the tow (embarrassing first impression).
To my fellow Merc friend Keith....I was the lone wolf on Friday and Saturday's trip. I missed not see your Merc next to mine.I believe I put some fear in all the OMC lovers for us on our next trip together... great to meet both .
My 45hp Merc powered Vag did not make it off the trailer since it was disqualified flowing in an OMC powered vessel at the past spring Arrowhead meet-..and I was busy with shutting down Dans OMC powered,Firefly. By the way, I got the Youngs hooked,up with a Merc outboard race mechanic and they are ones to,watch for,in the future....\
We want to thank everyone for the great time at Arrowhead, for the new people we got to get aquatinted with and the familiar ones that we got to spend more time boating with…….
Thanks to Nick and Ray for the coordination of the two big rides and the pizza. We were so looking forward to the dam ride but had to leave on Saturday to get back home, next time I guess. Thanks to Rob and Carey for including everyone to acknowledge their special event, the music, the food & spirits and the time spent together was something that great memories are made of.
I to would like to thank Nick and Ray for setting this up the rain could have stayed away but I think it made us have more time to talk and get to know the new people that came to arrow head Lesa and I had a blast now we need to make the next fall meet even bigger and better
