I'm leaving early Wednesday. That vixen Irma came right over us, but had pretty much collapsed on the west and south side. Still some rain and 35 mph wind but no trees down or power outage at my place.
Had a wonderful time with a houseful of refugees and dogs. Another good thing was I pulled my generator out that hadn't been cranked for two years. Dumped the fuel, gave a shot of ether into the carb and that baby cranked and ran smooth on the first pull !! Non-ethanol fuel is my friend.
I am grateful we didn't experience what those in the Keys and SW Fla did. I am blessed with an incredible family and now I am shifting gears to spend time with my Feather Craft family.
See y'all soon !!!

Birmingham's a breeze.. When are you coming through?
I will hit the road on Wednesday morning after I drop the girls off at school. So that should place me in Birmingham around mid-afternoon. So maybe traffic won't be bad. It certainly won't be as frustrating as Atlanta any time of the day.
You all be safe. Like I said before, if there is not a lot of wind and lightening, riding in the rain is a lot of fun!!!...this is Cheri not John lol. Anyway, praying you all get some good riding time in but as important, a lot of good times together!! Missing being there but we have a fire in the fireplace and everything put away in case the power goes out. See you all in spring!
